DOXA has put out word about their new Sub 6000T diver, which is based on the very popular Sub 5000T with a few improvements. The official announcement will be coming at BaselWorld 2016 with more details, but for now we know that it comes with a higher depth rating (6000ft vs. 5000ft), better lume, a Soprod automatic A10 movement, as well as some minor changes to gasket positioning and quality.
If you’re curious what the bezels orange outer numbers represent, they tell you the maximum amount of time you can be at the marked depth. As in, if you reach a maximum depth of 150ft, your total time from leaving the surface to starting your ascent (bottom-time) would need to be less than 6 minutes. Only going to 70ft? Your bottom time can be up to 70 minutes.
The Sub 6000T will retail for $2490, but is currently available for pre-order at a price of $1990. They’re expected to ship out mid-April, and if you’re too excited to wait for more news, you can currently pre-order for the lower price of $1990 here.
