The Straton Racing Inspired Syncro Diver
Kyle, the founder of micro-band Straton Watch Co., had a very good day yesterday. Yesterday was the launch of his latest Kickstarter campaign for the Straton Syncro – a motor-sport inspired pilot/diver hybrid watch.
The campaign was funded within just a few hours – as of this writing the campaign has over $120,000 pledged, far more than the modest goal of $15,000. And it’s only day two of the 30 day campaign.
What’s making the Straton Syncro so popular? My guess is the unique design, numerous variations of dials, bezels, straps, and movements, and the fact that this isn’t Straton Watch Co.’s first rodeo. Campaigns in 2015 and 2016 were very successful, with many satisfied customers.
The Syncro is available in 5 different color variations, each of which can be had in two case sizes (40mm & 44mm), two movements (Meca-quartz & NE88 Automatic), two sapphire bezel designs, date window or no, and 11 different straps to choose from. Basically, there’s something for just about anyone here.
Kyle’s put a lot of work into the details on the Syncro, and while it’s out of my current price range, I think it’s definitely worth the money that he’s asking.
While I was typing up this blog post, my girlfriend (not a watch fanatic) looked over my shoulder and immediatly said ‘OOH I like that!’. I wish I could buy her one 🙂
Be sure to go check out the Kickstarter campaign, which ends March 1st.
