Incoming! Citizen Promaster Diver BN0151-09L

I’ve been meaning to review one of Citizen’s inexpensive Promaster Diver’s ever since I started this site. Well, the time has finally come – I just placed an order for the much talked about BN0151-09L. Currently available for around $150, this and its black-dialed variation have been on my list of best divers for under $200 ever since I first published that article.

But I’ve never had my hands on one. So it’s time to change that.

One of my very first (serious) watches was a titanium Citizen Aqualand Duplex that was issued to me while I was in the military. It was a great watch, with many features such as a depth gauge and dive timer, but unfortunately it bit the dust (due to massive abuse by my hands) before I started this site, so I never did a review of it. That specific model isn’t available anymore anyways.

So Citizen definitely has a special place in my heart, and I’m very much looking forward to receiving the BN0151-09L Promaster Diver here in a couple days. I have a long weekend of diving up in British Columbia happening here in a couple of weeks, in mid-February, so it’ll be a perfect time to make the Promaster my primary dive watch and get a good sense of it before putting together a review.

Stay tuned, I’ll be sure to post an unboxing article once it arrives!
